11days of life and aftermath(part 1)

What can you achieve in 11days?

From 25oct - 4nov(Starhub-imode invited roadshow)

I'll start from the training day, which is on the 21st of oct.
Having some hard time to find the training place, which is at the starhub headquarter.
Saw some girl, wee o wee. Can know some girl. But in my mind i'm thinking i sure wont get to know them. Cos I'm not so initiative to go introduce myself.
The training drag from 2pm to 6pm. Damn sian, somemore raymond was late for his jack's place work which starts at 6pm. So we got to rush from somewhere near dover to simei. So cab is the only transport choice. Nvm, heng we got 20bucks for going to the training. Wonder why so good, go training still go money.

Actual day came. Meet the person who called us up for the job. She looked like a witch, that's what raymond said. haha. from some view, she do look like one..haha.. Can't imagine she's from soka also. She looked mean, sounded mean and abit baised from my point of view. Haha..

Well, basically the job is to introduce a new service named : " imode", Which is like the mobile internet. I've been repeating the same thing for 11days.. kinda sian..

When approaching a invited guest/customer
Me: "Hi gd morning/afternoon/evening, Sir/Madam, may I help you?"

Customer: "My queue no is 1233. So where do I go?"

Me:(looking at the screen for the queue no.) "Well, your number has not been called up it, mayb would you like me to briefly introduce what imode is all about?"

Customer: "Sure, that's great!"

Me: "Basically, the imode handset function is the same as normal phone, the only different is the 'i' button, where a click on the button and you can get into imode.
There's i-menu, mail, sms, java application which is game so on and so fore.
In the i-menu, you have the imode sites, where you can read news, do some banking, downloading of games/ringtones/wallpaper.
The news you have the straits times/bbc/channel newsasia/business times and etc. From the straits time, you read the news just like how you read on the news paper. quick and easy. you dun have to scroll down the page sentence by sentence, you can by pressing the button at the side(showing the side of the nec4111i handset that I was given), you can scroll page is easy, so it's not so hazzled.

Customer : "(Amazed), woah that's good."

Me: "To go back to the previous page, all you have to do is to press the cursor back, just like the "back" button you have on internet explorer. Quick and easy. Whereas the gprs we have right now, you got to scroll all the way down, find the word "back" den press and they load again.
I-mode don't.

Customer:"I see I see, so it's like a mobile internet huh!?"
(Duh, didn't i mention it in the earlier part)

Me:"In the entertainment sites, you can buy movie tickets, book up to 20 tickets, and even better, you could choose your seats. Unlike the interent booking, you can't."

Customer: "Yup true. Quite good ah, imode"

Me: "(obviously bluffing my way) Yup, it's quite convenient and good to me. I've been using imode for 1 week plus, i can get infomation quick and fast."

Customer: "So compare the 3 handset(nec 600, nec 411i, samsung410i), which one do you think is good?"

Me: "Well, it depends on your criteria for choosing the phone. If you want a loud ringing tone, den samsung would be your choice. But samsung doesn't have chinese input, you can only read chinese but not input."

Customer:" har, like that ah?"

Me: " Yup, and for the i-mode banking sites right, you can only do it with nec 600 model where as the other 2 model you can't. Nec 600 is a more secured platform. The doja 2.5 is more secured den doja 1.5"

Customer: "(taking out a brochure they were give when they registered, looking at some specification on the brochure) So what is doja 2.5 and 1.5?"
(Ah deh?rolling my eyes, didn't i just said doja 2.5 is more secured. So it's some kind of security platform)

Me:"(Smiling my way as i cursed the customer down my pure innocent heart) Well, i'm not too sure what is doja, it's some kinda of security platform."

Customer: "what's the different between doja 1.5 and 2.5"

Me: "(i'm swearing at tat moment) it's a security level. so 2.5 is much higher level of 1.5. that's why it's more secured to do banking stuff."(any how ham tam a answered)

Customer: "oh, ok!"(seemed satisfied)

Me: "With the imode handset, you will also be given the imode- mail, where you can send and receive email thru your phone?"

Customer:"So i can read my mail, like the yahoo or gmail?"

Me: "no, no. imode mail basically is just like a new email account. The presets email address is yourhpNo@imode.sg"

Customer:"Oh, i see. So i can receive my gmail email thru the phone?!"
(OMG!, didn't i say it's new email add. You can't receive your yahoo or any other mail)

Me:" no, but you can pushMail to the imode-mail account. It's like forwarding a copy of the mail in your yahoo, gmail or any mail server to the imode mail. Provided that the mail server has the settings of pushmail."

Customer: "Oh i see.How do i change setting in my phone?"
(Cannot make it, if you wanna push mail to the phone, is go to the email account on the internet to change, not on the phone change.)

Me:"Oh, you got to go to the internet den login to your account and change it"

Customer:" oh, not on the phone? ok."

Me: "Nope"(duh, do you eat from your mouth den shit from your mouth? of cos is do the setting at your email account)

Customer: (trying to find look at the queue screen to check whether the queue no has been called?) "Is my number being called?"

Me: "(looking at the screen) No."

Me: "There's this new features, video ringtone. Simply just by setting video as video clips"

Customer: "oh, that's cool"

Me:" you can by download the video clips from i-mode sites or by taking video with the phone and set as ringtone. As simple as 1,2,3"

Customer: "Download is free right?"

Me: "Yup, for right now. till 31st december, the subscription fees is waived off, and all data usage is free till 28 of may 2006."

Customer: "ok. thanx"

Me: "(looking at the screen, ah, numbered called) Sir, your number has been called up, mayb you would go to the sale counter first to ask them bout the plans, the subscription fees , anything pertaining to money you are going to pay for. They are more professionally trained in that area"

Customer:" Ok, so where do i go? there ah?ok thank you"

Me: "yup, ok sure. Welcome"

That's just a bit of what happened throughout the whole 11days. The customer that i written here, is just sum up of different customer characteristic. There's even worst or good customer.
It's really funny how Singaporean could ask questions. I shouldn't say it's stupid question, but, simple and logical question answer they also need me to answer. Oh my goodness.
